A small, cozy shop located in the heart of Nantucket offering a full line of Olde Nantucket Candles and a complete line of tapers and pillars -  all hand dipped.  We also offer True Bayberry tapers along with 100% beeswax tapers and pillars. We offer a full line of candle accessories.

We carry hand carved signs and whales, a great selection of Nantucket Baskets, some filled with silk hydrangeas and Hand Blown Hurricanes in many sizes and styles. Scallop Shell or Dried & Silk Flower Wreaths can be ordered.

Our soaps are all hand crafted and come in 6 wonderful scents. Adorable whale shaped soaps are also available. Sea Therapy Bath Salts in several fragrances as well as all natural Sun Soother Spray make wonderful gifts as well.

Meet the Shopkeeper - Sherry Loucks

Growing up on the beaches of Southern California I have always felt the magic of the ocean; but never have I felt it quite the way as I do on Nantucket.  The first time I stepped foot on the island was in 1976 with my husband and first daughter of 18 months.  When we had to return to our home in Cornwall, NY we found that we were only leaving Nantucket physically, but never emotionally.  As our family grew (three beautiful daughters) we became sailors and sailed our ketch out of Essex, Ct. throughout New England, always stopping in Nantucket.  When sailing season ended we still felt the pull of the island and would travel here as often as we could manage throughout the year.  As our youngest daughter went off to college we decided to make the move; to make our dream a reality.  We have lived on this magical island for five years now where I am fortunate enough to work at the elementary school.  My love of flowers and activity in the Cornwall Garden Club lent itself to developing a successful gardening business which continues now on the island.  My study of interior design, knowledge of fragrances and love of candles made the shop an easy decision.  Opening Nantucket Lite, Candle & Soap Co., assisted by my daughters & husband, has made our dream complete.
